If you need to plan your visit, here are the times for the first and last boats sailing through the Sil Canyons from our pier:
The first catamaran always departs at 11:00, in every season we operate. This is our main departure, and it's available:
- Every day in high season (June–September)
- Every day in mid-season (April, May, October)
- Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays in low season
The last boat departs at 18:00, but it's only available during:
- Temporada alta: Todos los días
- Mid-season: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays
- Low season: only on request
Important: The catamaran departs punctually at the scheduled time. If you arrive after departure, we won't be able to wait for you.
If you'd like to combine the tour with other Ribeira Sacra activities (winery visits, viewpoints, a meal), we recommend the 11:00 departure. You'll finish around 13:00, giving you the whole afternoon free.

How to Get to the Pier from Castro Caldelas
Distance: 18 km (approximately 20 minutes)
Route: OU-0605 towards Castro Caldelas

There's roadside parking available along the road.
There are also spaces a few hundred meters away, on the other side of the river next to the Doade pier.
Parking at A Abeleda is completely free.
How Many Daily Departures Are There? Boat Frequency
One of the most common questions is how often the boats depart through the Sil Canyons. Here's a clear breakdown:
High Season (Summer, Easter Week)
- Number of departures: 4 salidas diarias
- Times: 11:00, 13:00, 16:00, and 18:00
- Interval between boats: 5 hours
Mid-Season (Spring, Autumn)
- Weekdays: 1 daily departure (11:00 or 18:00)
- Weekends: 2–4 daily departures (11:00, 13:00, 16:00, and 18:00)

- Number of departures: 1 salida diaria
- Schedule: 11:00
- Only: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays
Important note: There are no continuous departures throughout the day. Boats depart at fixed times (11:00 and 16:00 during high season). Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, and the boat returns to the pier. No hay salidas continuas durante el día. Los barcos salen a horas fijas (11:00 y 16:00 en temporada alta). Cada paseo dura 1 hora 30 minutos aprox. y el barco regresa al embarcadero.
Plan your arrival: If you want to catch the first boat, you need to be at the pier before 11:00. If you arrive at 12:00, the next boat (during high season) will be at 13:00 or 18:00.

How far in advance should I arrive at the pier?
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before departure time. That means:
